NWC Housewash is a highly concentrated multi purpose soap/surfactant/degreaser.

Dilute 1:75 with water for most uses. Rate can be adjusted weaker as needed.

Spray on and allow time to work. Rinse with low pressure/high volume water. Ratio may be increased for heavy soiling but is generally not necessary. May be safely added to a 1.25% Sodium hypochlorite solution. Or directly into a draw bucket for use with venturi/x-jet/proportioners etc

Provides outstanding cling for SH and is great on all common soiling around homes and buildings including cobwebs, bug nests, dust/dirt, road grime, BBQ areas/grease and so on. It is best practice to avoid allowing solutions to dry on glass or metal surfaces and to test on inconspicuous spots first. Rinse thoroughly on glass for a great finish.

FAQs:

Can I use more than 1.25% SH? 

Yes, NWC housewash is stable even in undiluted “pool chlorine”. You will find using a lower strength mix, around 1.25% active ingredient, enough for most uses and it will lower your risk, and your chemical usage. Dwell time is better all around, than really strong mixes! 

What is SH? 

Sodium hypochlorite, one of the main active ingredients in most outdoor cleaners which kills algae/mildew/mould etc. NWC housewash soap takes care of the rest – cobwebs, bug nests, dust/dirt, road grime,grease etc. and helps the SH ‘cling’ to the surface, giving it time to work.

How should I apply it?

We find the best way is via a dedicated softwash system, and then using a high flow pressure washer with low pressure nozzles, to wash and rinse. Kind of like a touch free car wash. Other common methods are downstream injectors, a wash-jet attachment or x-jet, or even pump up sprayers. Though these are usually not as efficient, they are a cheap way to get started and also take up much less space, if you need to stay portable. 

Can I use it on driveways?

YES! NWC Housewash soap is great for flatwork. Especially if you have greasy/grimy surfaces such as school areas, food service areas, factories, workshops and so on. For really bad flatwork we recommend mixing in our NWC Heavy Duty degreaser as well for some extra punch. 

How long should I let it sit (dwell)?

Short answer, as long as it needs. It’s going to be extremely dependent on the soiling, the surface, and to some degree the weather. But a common mistake when new to the industry is to spray xyz detergent, then immediately start rinsing/washing. Which wastes your time and chemicals and gives poor results!

What about mineral stains?

Mineral stains such as efflorescence, gutter “tiger stripes”, rust stains, staining from prolonged water leaks etc usually require specialised restoration chemicals which are acid based and are not a part of maintenance cleaning. NEVER allow acid based products to come in contact with SH. NEVER mix two chemicals together, unless the labels or manufacturer specifically state it is safe to do so.
